What’s the secret to unlocking your best work?

High performers share a common trait: they don’t rely on willpower to get things done.

Instead, they lean on habits—small, intentional practices that create consistent momentum.

One of my favorite habits for staying focused and productive is the Pomodoro Technique.

When my daughter, Reese, struggled to focus on her homework this week, I introduced her to this simple strategy. Endless distractions were turning assignments into marathons. She needed a way to break through.

Here’s how it works:

1️⃣ Pick a task. Choose one thing to focus on.
2️⃣ Set a timer. Work for 25 minutes.
3️⃣ Eliminate distractions. Focus fully on the task.
4️⃣ Take a 5-minute break. Recharge with movement, water, or a quick reset.
5️⃣ Repeat. After 4 cycles, take a longer break (15–30 minutes).

The result? Reese’s productivity skyrocketed. Tasks that once took an hour now take half the time, and she’s more confident than ever.

The beauty of this technique is its simplicity—it builds focus, eliminates overwhelm, and creates a rhythm you can trust.

Try it out this week and see how it transforms your focus and results.

Here’s to building momentum,
Jon
